Windowcast is the perfect tool for people who don't want to constantly watch the weather to determine if it's a good day to do or plan outdoor activities. Windowcast provides a custom weather forecast just for you and your location. You can set how long you want the weather forecasted out and you can also set your ideal conditions. Windowcast also uses up-to-date precise weather technology to alert you in multiple ways of approaching rain. Good for golfing, cycling, motorcycles/bikers, fishing. Just about anything where the weather matters.


FEATURES:

*Unique forecast windowing. Select how long you want your weather forecast window to be. Windowcast allows you to set the forecast window to only a couple of hours up to 12 hours giving you exactly the forecast you need. For example, you can set the window to forecast a short walk or an entire day at the park. Weather attributes included in your window forecast are: Precipitation, Temperature, Humidity, Wind and Cloud Coverage. You can even set your own ideal windows.

*Rain alerts (push notifications). Relax and let our systems monitor the weather for you. Windowcast monitors the weather for your location and sends an alert if rain is expected.

*Hours until rain. Set your home screen to display the number of hours until rain is expected. This allows you to at a quick glance determine if today might be a good day to plan something outside or not without even launching the app.

*Daily forecast. You can receive an optional daily forecast for your location through a push notification every day. Have your forecast ready when you wake up.

*Radar. Windowcast's radar screen shows you where the rain is and where your forecast location is for more detailed decision making.

*e-mail rain alerts. Also receive rain alerts via email. This option is great if you are somewhere without cellular or Wi-Fi access.

I really can't say enough about how much I love this app. Having this app on my iPhone makes my Apple created Weather app obsolete. Window Sast gives me the weather information that I actually need, as opposed to other apps which gives loads of information that simply don't matter to me. At the very top of the screen is a precipitation meter, that displays an easy-to-read meter of the possibility of rain. Already, I'm in love with the app; that's simple and to the point. Sometimes that's all the information I want, and having this information clear and at the top of the screen is wonderful.

The app also lets you set your ideal ranges for temperature, humidity, wind mph, and cloud coverage (although for those weather newbies, it comes pre-set with typical ideal ranges). Those 4 factors are all I could ever want in a weather reporting device - they let me know how comfortable I will be each day! If the factor is within your ideal range, it will report in green. If not, it will report in red. The bars show current conditions, lows are featured on the far left, and highs are featured on the far right. This is the most simple weather app I have seen.

Forecasts can be shown anywhere for 2-12 hours. There are even push notifications for rain, and a weather radar map. You can set the app to notify you if rain is a small chance, an average chance, likely, or definite, depending on your preference. It will send notifications to email, too, if you're interested. You can even set it to send you a full 12 hour weather report in the mornings!

Window Cast is truly the most pratical weather app for the average user. The only downside? I'm worried that despite its amazing features, less people will give it a shot due to its $3.99 price tag. Sad, because it's completely worth the money. I've found it to be 100% accurate over the past few days of testing it.
